The item shown is an open-framed nick-knack displayer.  These displayers may be constructed in a variety of sizes … the most common size is a rectangle with an opening about 14 inches high and 16 inches wide.

There are a variety of styles of frames that work with this type of “open framing”.  The framing material needs to be wide enough to accommodate the additional backing material required to support the shelf.  The frames may be made-to-order … based on size and other preferences.

The open-frame displayer comes in every color possible.  The ready-made items are white … however; they may be painted to fit any décor.
